SOJOURN supports parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ youth. Guided by mental health professionals, we share resources and engage in discussion on how to best support our kids in being exactly who they are, no matter what the world brings. At times like these, it’s more important than ever that we rely on community to support our queer & trans youth. We hope you’ll join us as we enhance our support for LGBTQ+ young people!

SOJOURN’s job is to serve as a connector, defender, and protector of our LGBTQ+
youth. Outside of our vital advocacy work, this is not only our calling–to offer safe
spaces, places for young people who want to ‘sojourn’–it’s also the antidote to
helping kids who are facing rejection, and worse, because of their gender or sexual
identities.
Our goals are to offer spaces for our youth to explore queer and Jewish identities via
conversation, connection and support as they navigate developing identities with family
and friends and the uniqueness of a queer Jewish identity. We also celebrate Jewish
traditions and holidays with the queering of traditional aspects as well as exploring new
traditions adopted by queer and gender-diverse folks to reflect our modern identity and
struggle.
