SOJOURN offers a variety of trainings and programs on full inclusion and organizational best practices that are enhanced with ritual innovation.
The Jewish Professionals for Rainbow Youth summit (JPRY) is intended for professionals who work with youth in a Jewish setting, and highlights the ways that teachers and youth-facing staff can create supportive environments and respond to the needs of LGBTQ+ youth in their Jewish communities. The first JPRY summit took place in 2025, and the second will take place on November 10, 2026.
Objectives for the summit include
Fundamentals of Gender & Sexual Diversity is our workshop for Jewish groups and organizations covering the evolving landscape of LGBTQ+ identities.
Expanding Practices of Gender & Sexual Diversity covers emerging organizational and ritual practices to make LGBTQ+ Jews feel at home.
Understanding the Rainbow is SOJOURN’s dedicated program for senior citizens. This program explores the changing landscape of identity, the language and terminology of gender and sexual diversity, the importance of self-identification and how to be an ally.

SOJOURN’s Pathways to Progress speaker series convenes conversations with thought leaders on topics at the intersection of Jewish and LGBTQ+ life. These panels are recorded, transcribed, and available as a resource to our communities. These events are made possible with the generous support of the Breman Foundation.
EDGE (Early Development for Gender Equity) is SOJOURN’s program for anyone who spends time with young children, such as Jewish preschools, day schools, Hebrew schools, camps, or parent groups.
EDGE educates participants on the harmful impact of rigid gender stereotypes and the importance of counteracting gender bias in the classroom and at home. This multi-faceted program with educators, parents, and students includes games, stories, art, film, and song to address the infinite possibilities of gender equity.
If young children never learn gendered stereotypes, they are free to develop into the person they know themselves to be.
